What is Remote Online Notarization (RON)?

Remote Online Notarization is a process that allows a notary public to notarize a document remotely using two-way audio-visual technology and electronic signatures. The notary and the signer can be in different locations, where every part of the process is done via the Internet and webcam. Legal in all 50 states .

How does Online Notary work?

Online notarization works by connecting users and a notary through a secure video conferencing platform. The notary verifies identities using uploaded IDs, observes the document signing, and applies an electronic seal. The session is recorded for security and compliance.
